The book is illustrated with an astonishing sequence of photos of rock art from the country's most important archaeological sites. Based on extensive research - under the scientific coordination of Madu Gaspar, with the consultancy of specialists in the fields of archaeology, paleontology and ecological anthropology - the book describes, in light and accessible language, the most interesting aspects of Brazilian prehistory, from the formation of our territory, through the various forms of life that developed here for millions of years and the controversial arrival of man in South America, to the situation of the native peoples at the time of the “European discovery”.
